Remember to change the invoice date on or after 1st July, 2017 in order to get the option "Allow modification of tax details for GST" on pressing F12. How to pass GST entry in Tally ERP9 (For goods)

So you want to know how to pass GST entries in Tally ERP9? Why not you watch the step by step video given above (in hindi). Alternatively you can read this article also.

So, first you have to enable GST feature on your company by pressing F11 button.

Also set "yes" for "Set/alter gst details". Give your GSTIN & other details. You can also set GST rate if you want to set in company level. But If you have goods/services attracting multiple GST rates, then don't set any GST rate in company level.

Now back to gateway of tally (by pressing Esc.) > Accounting info > Ledger > create. And create the following ledgers with given information.

Name: Purchase Local
Under: Purchase Account
Inventory value are effected: Yes
Is GST Applicable: Yes
Set alter GST details: No
Type of supply: Goods

Name: Purchase Interstate
Under: Purchase Account
Inventory value are effected: Yes
Is GST Applicable: Yes
Set alter GST details: No
Type of supply: Goods

Name: Sales Local
Under: Sales Account
Inventory value are effected: Yes
Is GST Applicable: Yes
Set alter GST details: No

GST Applicable: Applicable
Set/Alter GST details: Yes
Description: <Type relevant product description>
HSN code: <Type relevant 8 digit HSN code of your product>
Calculation type: Select On value
Taxability: Taxable
Integrated Tax: <Type relevant tax rate Example: 18>
SAVE.

Name: <Item 2>
Units: <Create / Select the unit of measure. example: Pcs., Ltr., Kg., etc... (Press Alt+C for online                    creation)>
GST Applicable: Applicable
Set/Alter GST details: Yes
Description: <Type relevant product description>
HSN code: <Type relevant 8 digit HSN code of your product>
Calculation type: Select On value
Taxability: Taxable
Integrated Tax: <Type relevant tax rate Example: 28>
SAVE.

Now from Gateway of tally enter into voucher, press F9 and pass the Purchase Invoice with following details:

FOR LOCAL PURCHASE:

Date: On or after 1/07/2017 (To change date, press F2)
Supplier invoice number: <As your wish>
Party A/c name: Select <Vendor>
Purchase ledger: Select Purchase local
Name of Item: Select <Item 1>
Quantity: <Enter how much you want to buy. Example: 10>
Rate: <Enter the cost price of the product. Example 100>
[To add another Item Repeat last 3 steps, but this time select different Item, Qty & Rate]
Followed by Enter and proceed to SAVE.

FOR INTERSTATE PURCHASE:

Date: On or after 1/07/2017 (To change date, press F2)
Supplier invoice number: <As your wish>
Party A/c name: Select <Vendor (Interstate)>
Purchase ledger: Select Purchase Interstate
Name of Item: Select <Item 1>
Quantity: <Enter how much you want to buy. Example: 20>
Rate: <Enter the cost price of the product. Example 130>
[To add another Item Repeat last 3 steps, but this time select different Item, Qty & Rate ]
Followed by Enter and proceed to SAVE.

Now Press F8 and pass the Sales Invoice with following details:

FOR LOCAL SALES:

Date: On or after 1/07/2017 (To change date, press F2)
Supplier invoice number: <As your wish>
Party A/c name: Select <Customer>
Purchase ledger: Select Sales local
Name of Item: Select <Item 1>
Quantity: <Enter how much you want to sell. Example: 10>
Rate: <Enter the selling price of the product. Example 170>
[To add another Item Repeat last 3 steps, but this time select different Item, Qty & Rate]
Followed by Enter and proceed to SAVE.

FOR INTERSTATE SALES:

Date: On or after 1/07/2017 (To change date, press F2)
Supplier invoice number: <As your wish>
Party A/c name: Select <Customer (Interstate)>
Purchase ledger: Select Sales Interstate
Name of Item: Select <Item 1>
Quantity: <Enter how much you want to sell. Example: 20>

What is Candlestick Chart?

Candle Stick chart is an advance and interactive chart, which provide more data over the trend of an index/stock, in addition to a line chart. It have a stick line that represent the low and high of a particular period, and a green or red rectangular body that represent open and close of that particular period. A green body show gain in closing from opening and a red body show loss in closing from opening.
